The World Bank
To have a World Bank webpage specifically devoted to microfinance is a tribute to the growing recognition of the importance of the subject. However the content of the site shows clearly what the new emphasis is going to be ie "the current challenge of small and medium scale enterprise (SME) development is to build on the success of microfinance, establishing good practices for SME financing and for the provision of non-financial services to SMEs". An excellent and very rich site. Do not miss the section on Policies and Guidelines. |
